Unable to change icon for a desktop folder due to not allowed by application.
Cause:
Currently it is not possible to change the desktop folder icons.
Solution:
A folder icon cannot be changed. However, shortcut properties may be changed. Open the folder and move any shortcuts inside onto the desktop.
Use one of the following methods to work around this restriction:
1) Remove the folder from the desktop and access the shortcuts or program objects directly:
2) Instead of placing a program or file in a folder, create a shortcut to access the program directly from the desktop:
a) Right-click the shortcut icon to display a pop-up menu.

b) Select 'Properties'. (The 'Properties' dialog box appears.)
c) Click the 'Shortcut' tab.
d) Click 'Change icon...'. (The 'Change Icon' dialog box appears.)
e) Do one of the following:
1] Select an icon from the 'Current Icon' list box.
2] Use the 'Browse' function:
a] Click 'Browse...'. (The 'Change Icon' dialog box appears.)
b] Locate the folder containing the desired icons.
c] Select an icon and click 'Open'.
f) Click 'OK'.
3) Click 'Apply' and click 'OK'.
